About the Event
MUSIC:
The Swamp Stomp String Band is a raucous and energetic travelling band renowned for the boisterous and bawdy, rough and rowdy, theatrically extravagant performances. They blend up-tempo, old-time music infused with Bluegrass, Country, Americana and practically anything else you might find pouring out of a beer-soaked roadside dive-bar!
There’s everything thing you’d expect; from twangy banjos and chugging guitars to a honky-tonk piano, a thudding double bass, and driving drums. These propel everything from drinking songs that will have the room stomping their feet and raising their flagons of cider, to ballads that will break even the toughest of folk. Play your cards right and you might even get invited for a waltz!
Supported by the fantastic local young talent: Sam Lisle, who will open with some country tunes and originals in his own style, that you won't want to miss (get in early!)
